Driving directions to downtown Columbia from the airport

To Downtown Columbia
Exit parking booth, curve to left. There will be a sign directing to Columbia and Lexington in the far right two lanes.

Stay in farthest right lane to Columbia. This will take you to John Hardee Expressway. Go 0.6 miles.

At traffic light, take a left onto SC Highway 215/302 which is also Airport Blvd.  This will turn into US 176 and become Knox Abbott Drive.  Go ~ 5 miles.

Continue across the river, turn left onto Huger (pronounced "hugh-gee") Street. Go 0.8 miles.

Turn right on Gervais ("jer-vay") Street/US 1.  Go 0.4 miles.

Take the third right onto Lincoln Street. The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center (1101 Lincoln Street) is 6.9 miles from the airport.

Limousine and taxi service is available.  A one-way taxi ride is ~$25 to the Hilton & Hampton Hotels.


Columbia is served by I-20, I-26 and I-77, and is within 90 miles of I-85 and I-95, making travel to our city simple from every direction. Other major area highways include US 1, 21, 76, 176, 178, 321, 378 and 601. The city is also served by Amtrak.
