"A Review of the FBI Laboratory and the Forensic Capabilities Available for Testing Evidence" by Rhonda Craig
This presentation will discuss the effect of CSI fiction on real life prosecutions and forensic testimony. It will provide an overview of the various disciplines and techniques that are currently utilized by the FBI Laboratory. It will also provide information about the background education and experience typically required for forensic scientists at the FBI.

The SciMix poster session will feature undergraduate posters. Come learn of their efforts from the lab as you enjoy light hors d'oeuvres before going to dinner.

Undergraduate Luncheon with Martin Chalfie 12:00 noon
Enjoy lunch with 2008 Nobel Laureate Martin Chalfie at the Hickory Tavern (907 Senate Street, just a two minute walk from the convention center). Dr. Chalfie shared the Nobel chemistry prize that year for the discovery and development of the green fluorescent protein (GFP). Be sure to purchase your ticket when you register for the meeting. $5 for undergraduates. Sponsored by Eastman. Awards will be presented to winners of the poster session competition.
